Timmers trained with one of the founders of the AAV gene therapy at the University of Florida and has since worked at several AAV gene therapy companies. He has extensive experience with all aspects of developing AAV gene therapy and has made the case before the FDA in preIND and IND applications. He has worked in the field of ophthalmology, otology, CNS and liver.
